Cassie (キャシー, Kyashī) is a CG animated film directed by Kaijumaikeru. It is produced by CGImages, Monster Island Pictures, and TKToons.

Plot Summary[]

Cassie, a kaiju superfan and granddaughter of the legendary Bill Randa, visits Monster Island with her little sister TK-tan and a few close friends. What begins as a dream trip becomes a dangerous mission when a mysterious seismic event awakens an aggressive and unknown titan deep beneath the island. Cassie and TK-tan discover they have a rare psychic bond with kaiju, inherited through their family lineage, connected to Hollow Earth energies. They, along with their crew, form a bond with Godzilla Junior and a few other young or fringe titans. When a rogue human faction attempts to use ancient tech to control or destroy kaiju, the kids must work with their new allies - both human and monster - to stop the catastrophe and remind the world that coexistence is possible.

Trivia[]

  • There are several references to Glitch Productions in the film.
    • In Cassie's room, there's a Pomni plushie, and a poster with the phrase "Welcome to the Circus!"
    • One scene briefly shows Cassie's school using a malfunctioning VR edutainment tool. When it glitches, a digital voice says "Please remain calm and do not question your reality...". This voice was done by Alex Rochon, who played Caine in The Amazing Digital Circus.
    • On Monster Island, a tourist spot has an old VR Kaiju exhibit called "The Amazing Monster Circus", with mascots that resemble janky circus versions of the kaiju, and one of them is suspiciously shaped like Pomni.
    • In Project Apex's lab, there's a glimpse of scrapped drone heads labeled "Model N/A-13". One has a cracked visor and vaguely resembles N from Murder Drones.
    • Haruo has a desktop background that has the JCJenson logo, and one of his wallpapers shows stylized drones flying on a desolate planet, captioned "The drones are watching..."
    • Michael Kovach voices Bill Randa, and for one scene, he says "I've seen robots go rogue before... doesn't end well." Prior to this, he did the voice for N.
    • When the kids are in San Francisco, there is graffiti on a wall that reads "LIE, CHEAT, DECEIVE, CEMENT!", and next to it is a spray-painted stylized drawing of Breadhead.
    • One scene where the kids tell old kaiju legends includes a campfire story that is similar to the pilot of The Gaslight District.
    • On a background TV in a diner or base, a bizarre, surreal cartoon show plays briefly, blink and you miss it, but the design is Gaslight District-coded.
