The MonsterVerse is an American multimedia franchise and shared fictional universe that is centered on a series of monster films and TV series featuring Godzilla, King Kong, Gamera and other giant monster characters produced by Legendary Entertainment and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It also consists of short films, TV specials, theme park attractions, comic books and video games. Like many shared universes, common plot elements, settings, cast, and characters are crossed over. Like the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the MonsterVerse releases it's films and media in phases.
