Erika Ocampo is a character played by Ysabel Ortega that serves as the main protagonist in the 2024 Toho horror film The Alien Woman.
History[]
The Alien Woman[]
A sweet & humble college student at San Agustin University, Erika is also one of the prettiest in the campus, and is already on a relationship with Stephen Fernando, her boyfriend. While she is often seen hanging out with her closest friends Alyssa Santos and Nicole Rosales at the university, she actually spends most of her life with her mother Lorna, at their family home in the middle of Manila. When Erika received a low grade on astronomy, Alyssa tells her of an upcoming meteor shower that will take place later that month, and in order to observe it properly, she must find an area that has no light pollution. In the days leading up to the meteor shower, Erika leaves Manila on her own and boards a bus towards the coastal town of Baler, before going into a ferry towards Aurora Island. Intrigued with the island's beauty, she spends the next few days exploring the island, meeting local residents along the way, including a young girl named Mira. On that particular night, while on a beachfront with a group of people, Erika witnesses the meteor shower and facinating her. Several hours later, she returns to her hotel room while a black liquid lifeform begins following her. While brushing her hair in a mirror, the unidentified lifeform transforms into a humanoid shape and proceeds to kill Erika by ripping her heart off, before seemingly transforming into a duplicate clone of Erika herself.
Trivia[]
- Before The Alien Woman, Ysabel Ortega also portrayed a character named Erika in the 2023 film Firefly, although it is clearly not intended to be the same character.
Notes[]
- ↑ Erika is only a college student during the events of the film, and therefore has no occupation.
