Godzilla, King of the Monsters[]

Godzilla is the third individual of his species to claim the name. A Godzillasaurus whose egg was discovered on Adonoa Island in 1994, Godzilla was brought to Japan and raised by researcher Azusa Gojo. His adopted brother Rodan and the second Godzilla fought to claim custody of the infant, but ultimately Godzilla adopted him when Rodan was killed by Mechagodzilla. Over the following two years, the infant Godzillasaurus matured into a sub-adult Godzilla due to exposure to his adopted father's radiation. He was killed in a battle with the evil Destoroyah in 1996, but revived as an adult when his father melted down and imparted his radiation to him. The new Godzilla disappeared, but resurfaced in 1999 and attacked Tokyo. G-Force mobilized against him, but failed to halt his rampage. Godzilla shortly thereafter surfaced in Osaka and battled Anguirus, defeating him and forcing him to submit. Godzilla next encountered a second Rodan and fought him near Mt. Fuji, but Mothra convinced the two to join forces with her to stop King Ghidorah. Godzilla and Rodan were subsequently abducted by the Xiliens under the guise of fending off King Ghidorah when he attacked Planet X. This was a ruse, and Godzilla and Rodan were placed under Xilien mind control and sent to attack Earth alongside Ghidorah. Fortunately, G-Force severed this mind control and Godzilla and Rodan fought Ghidorah to a draw, both vanishing after falling off a cliff into the water. Godzilla made his way to Letchi Island in the South Seas and took up residence in a cave to rest. G-Force tracked him to the island, but its forces were stranded there when the monster Ebirah destroyed its fleet. When G-Force learned the terrorist organization Red Bamboo was manufacturing nuclear weapons on the island, it awakened Godzilla and allowed him to destroy the terrorists' weapons plant. Godzilla tried to leave the island but was intercepted by Ebirah, who he fought in a protracted aquatic duel. Godzilla triumphed by tearing off both of Ebirah's claws and forcing him to retreat. Godzilla next made his way to Sollgel Island, the site of prolonged nuclear testing. Godzilla found an infant member of his species under attack by three Kamacuras and rescued him, killing two Kamacuras in the process. The infant, dubbed "Minilla," was adopted by Godzilla, just as his father had adopted him. When the giant spider Kumonga awakened and captured Minilla, Godzilla arrived to save him, and joined forces with his son to defeat Kumonga.
Sollgel Island was converted to a containment facility operated by G-Force called Monster Island, and Godzilla and Minilla both lived there in peace with other captured monsters until the Xiliens raided the island and placed all of its monsters under mind control. Godzilla attacked New York and Tokyo, but was freed from the Xiliens' control when G-Force destroyed the aliens' control mechanism. Godzilla led the other monsters in an assault on the Xiliens' Earth base, but King Ghidorah arrived to intercept them. Together, the Earth monsters forced Ghidorah and the Xiliens to retreat, and made their way back to Monster Island. Godzilla continued to raise Minilla there, teaching him to fight for himself and stand up to the monster Gabara. When Gabara attacked Godzilla in retaliation, Godzilla beat him until he fled. Godzilla escaped the island when the monster Hedorah appeared in Japan, and fought it in multiple encounters that culminated in a duel at Mt. Fuji against the creature's colossal Perfect Form. Godzilla was able to beat Hedorah with the help of G-Force's Giant Electrode, reducing the Smog Monster to a husk. Godzilla recruited Anguirus to assist him when the Xiliens released Ghidorah and the cybernetic Gigan in Japan, and the two were victorious after a brutal battle. Godzilla again was forced to travel to Japan when Megalon and Gigan attacked. He worked with G-Force's new robot Jet Jaguar and successfully drove both monsters into retreat. When a fake Godzilla appeared in Japan and injured Anguirus, Godzilla confronted it in Tokyo and exposed it as the Xiliens' Mechagodzilla. Godzilla was defeated by his robot double, but tracked it down to Okinawa and joined forces with King Caesar and defeated it in a rematch. The Xiliens simply rebuilt the robot and teamed it with Dr. Shinzo Mafune's Titanosaurus, then unleashed both in Tokyo. Godzilla arrived and fought both monsters, but was nearly killed until G-Force intervened and severed the aliens' and Mafune's control over Titanosaurus. Godzilla destroyed Mechagodzilla once and for all, and drove Titanosaurus back to the sea.
Godzilla again escaped Monster Island and attacked Nemuro several months later, before landing at Tokai in order to feed on its nuclear plant. However, an alien UFO G-Force had accidentally awakened intercepted Godzilla and blasted him into the sea. The craft made its way to Tokyo and hacked into G-Force's servers, seeking information about Godzilla, who it deemed the ideal vessel for its conquest of Earth. Godzilla returned to Tokyo and fought the UFO, which siphoned his DNA and transferred it to its occupant. The pilot mutated into Orga and attempted to assimilate Godzilla entirely, but Godzilla tricked him into swallowing him headfirst, allowing him to obliterate Orga with a nuclear pulse. Godzilla once again was drawn to Tokyo when Megaguirus flew there, and fought and defeated her with the help of Rodan. When the Xiliens revived Hedorah and unleashed it in China, Godzilla and Minilla arrived there and helped King Caesar fight it. When Gigan arrived to back Hedorah up, Rodan came and helped Godzilla force both space monsters to retreat. Godzilla followed Hedorah across Asia, and fought against it in an underwater battle. Hedorah escaped and assembled with Gigan, Megalon, and King Ghidorah in Hong Kong. Working with Mothra, Anguirus, and King Caesar, Godzilla defeated the space monsters and forced them to retreat. Godzilla's attention was drawn again when Battra surfaced from Tokyo Bay. Godzilla fought the larval Battra in Yokohama, but the bout ended in a draw. Having taken control of both Titanosaurus and Destoroyah, the Xiliens unleashed both monsters, forcing Godzilla to fight them alone. However, Mothra convinced the now-adult Battra of the threat, and he joined forces with Godzilla against the two. Battra grabbed Titanosaurus and flew him out over the sea, while Mothra and Godzilla forced Destoroyah to retreat. The Xiliens retaliated by assembling Destoroyah, Ghidorah, Hedorah, Gigan, and Megalon in Tokyo and assaulting G-Force HQ. Godzilla and all of the Earth monsters arrived and engaged in a final decisive battle with them, which resulted in every monster being knocked out except for Godzilla and Ghidorah. Godzilla and Ghidorah fought brutally, but Godzilla managed to bite down on one of his necks and draw blood, then blasted him repeatedly with his atomic breath until he was too wounded to fight. Godzilla then destroyed the Xilien Mothership with his atomic breath, and watched as all of the Xiliens' monsters fled to space. Seeking nuclear power, Godzilla began a rampage across Japan, prompting G-Force to use nuclear material as bait and lure him away to Antarctica. Godzilla fought G-Force's new advanced warship, the Gotengo, and nearly destroyed it before it fired a barrage of missiles at his feet that caused him to fall into a fissure. The Gotengo then buried Godzilla with another hail of missiles, and the King of Monsters was seemingly trapped beneath the ice forever.
Over two decades later, the Earth Defense Force was forced to release Godzilla from his icy prison when the Xiliens returned with their monster army led by Monster X, a kaiju created by combining Godzilla and Ghidorah's DNA. Godzilla fought and defeated the upgraded Gigan, then battled Megalon, Destoroyah, Hedorah, and King Ghidorah, defeating all of them. He arrived in Tokyo to destroy the new Xilien Mothership, but was met by Monster X, who easily dominated their battle and defeated Godzilla by b;lasting him into the ocean. Godzilla resurfaced on Monster Island, where Mothra rallied the other Earth monsters for a final assault on Monster X, who had betrayed the Xiliens. Godzilla led the Earth monsters to Tokyo, where they joined forces with the Xiliens' remaining loyal monsters along with Jet Jaguar and the Gotengo. Their combined forces managed to injure Monster X, who responded by transforming into the all-powerful Keizer Ghidorah. Keizer Ghidorah easily defeated all of his foes, and used his antigravity beams to throw Godzilla around the city before opening a crater in the Earth and dropping Godzilla into it. While submerged in the magma, Godzilla began absorbing geothermal energy until Mothra plunged into the magma and rescued him. When Godzilla tried to get his bearings back, Keizer Ghidorah charged a powerful blast of his antigravity beams. In order to protect Godzilla, Mothra flew into the beams and was obliterated. Enraged, Godzilla began pulsing with energy and glowing bright orange, then fired his spiral red heat ray which locked with Keizer Ghidorah's beams. Godzilla's beam overpowered his enemy's, and blasted off Keizer Ghidorah's middle head. Godzilla followed this with another blast that severed his right head. Finally, Godzilla fired another blast that combined with King Ghidorah's gravity beams and Battra's prism beams to form a massive beam that annihilated Keizer Ghidorah. Godzilla's power surge wore off, and he briefly stared down his nemesis King Ghidorah before the latter returned to outer space. Godzilla then departed for Monster Island with the other monsters. He was later seen living happily alongside Minilla on the island.

Anguirus, the Fierce Dragon[]

A huge Ankylosaurus mutated by atomic testing, Anguirus came ashore in Osaka in 1999, where he was met by Godzilla. The two engaged in a protracted duel through the city, which ended when Godzilla tackled Anguirus through Osaka Castle and bit down on his neck. Anguirus finally submitted to Godzilla, who departed the city. Anguirus was eventually captured by G-Force and relocated to Monster Island, where he befriended Godzilla. When the Xiliens invaded the island and took control of the kaiju, Anguirus was unleashed near Mt. Fuji alongside Godzilla, and the two attacked G-Force's units which had assembled there. When G-Force severed the Xiliens' mind control, Anguirus assembled alongside Godzilla to attack the Xiliens' Earth base. He greatly assisted in the struggle against King Ghidorah, which resulted in the space demon retreating. Anguirus returned to Monster Island, where he lived alongside Godzilla in peace. When Ghidorah returned to invade Earth alongside Gigan, Godzilla recruited Anguirus to help him. Anguirus and Godzilla arrived in Japan and took on Gigan and Ghidorah, successfully driving them back to space. Anguirus later surfaced in Japan when Godzilla emerged from Mt. Fuji and began rampaging. Anguirus exposed metal underneath Godzilla's skin, revealing it as an impostor. The fake Godzilla immediately beat Anguirus into submission and forced him to retreat.
