Godzilla: Battle for Earth is a 2016 fighting action game developed by Ultimatum Studios and Backalley Games and published by Activision Blizzard for the PS4, Nintendo Switch, Wii U, and Xbox One. The game's plot follows an alien invasion by the Evory, a mult-versal advanced high tech race of aliens who plan to consume the Earth of its resources, including humans and kaiju. To advance their operations, the Evory take control of the Kaiju to destroy the world after realizing the power of the monsters. However, Godzilla 2000 is freed of control and must interfere with the enemy's plans.

Story Mode[]

In Story Mode, there are a total of 40 missions (41 if you count the tutorial). During missions, you must defeat enemies and mind-controlled Kaiju. In order to unlock a boss, you must complete three missions. There are three endings; Savior of Earth (Good Ending), Victory of the Evory (Bad Ending), and "King of the Monsters" (Neutral Ending). To gain the Bad Ending, you must defeat Super Godzilla without previously destroying all of the 9 bosses; Gigan '04, King Ghidorah, Mecha-King Ghidorah, Spacegodzilla, Destoroyah, Mechagodzilla III/Kiryu, Prototype Mechagodzilla, Megaguirus, and Bagan. To earn the Neutral Ending, you are required to defeat all of the bosses and beat Super Godzilla. For the Good Ending, all missions must be completed.

To unlock the Fight for Tokyo (Super Godzilla) mission, every single non-boss mission has to be beaten.

Plot[]

In the year 20XX, the GDF receives a message from an alien race known as the Evory, who plan to invade Earth. Soon, the recently-built city of Mosawa, Japan is attacked. An awakened Godzilla 2000 destroys the UFOs and returns to its slumber. Ashamed of their slow preparation, the GDF deploys all 3 Mechagodzillas to prepare for any incoming attacks.
