- This is the Last Godzilla film produced by Legendary. The deal with Toho ended with this film, but not until the release of Kong: War for Skull Island, the last entry of the Monsterverse, which had a lot of easter eggs to this film, such as the decapicated Destroyer's head.
- A Follow-up Novel was released after 5 months, and reveals a lot of backstory to the film, such as MUTO Prime's Rebirth and explores more about Titaeater's origins.
- GOJIRA, a Japanese version of the Blue Oyster Cult's Godzilla, sang by FIGHTER ISHIDA AND GYM, reappears as the End Credits theme, a nod to 2019's Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
