It is separate from the Showa, Heisei, Millennium, and Reiwa eras, since it is set in its own universe. It is part of the World of Godzilla franchise which has films set in their own separate universe or universes. It is set to release in 2027.

Plot[]

Prologue[]

It is 2041. Tokyo is in flames. The Japanese army is sending out their weaponry to combat some kaiju who have invaded the city. Maser tanks are sent out. One of the kaiju attacking is Anguirus. The army sends out Mechagodzilla to stop Anguirus. Mechagodzilla rushes in and strikes him. They duel long and hard.

Prologue Part 2: 40 Years of War[]

40 years earlier, in 2001, something incredible happened. A new species of giant bug was discovered in Antarctica. Resembling a mantis, it was named Kamacuras after kamakiri, the Japanese word for mantis. Soon enough, it spread to South America and Africa. Along with Kamacuras, giant spiders and scorpions also emerged from the Amazon and the Middle East. Between 2001 & 2020, dozens of species of large creatures appeared and the bugs spread around the world. They began to attack civilians. Thousands lost their lives. The country of Australia was invaded by the bugs. They used all means to destroy them. Chemical weapons, napalm, and even nuclear weapons were used but only in rural areas of the country. By 2015, Australia was isolated from the rest of the world. All international aid and assistance is cut off leaving the nation to fight alone. In 2018, the United Nations declared Australia uninhabitable and the remaining population escaped to other countries.

2 years later, the world had enough. That year in 2020, G-Force was created to combat the threat of monsters around the world.

2022[]

It is now 2022, twenty-one years after the kaiju invasion began. The U.S. submarine Red Satan travels to a UN underwater research base in the Pacific Ocean. Meanwhile, the Japanese navy launch their new submarine, the Goten-go and send it out on its first deployment.

Meanwhile, it is a normal day at Tokyo University. Students head to their classes. But two students are becoming focused on each other. Takada Okimori and Emiko Kayama have been friends for a long time. It is their final year here before they go their separate ways. Takada has been selected to be a part of G-Force. Emiko is proud that he is going to help defend the world from monsters. She asks him if it'll be dangerous work. He promises Emiko that he will be all right. He hugs her and they go their separate ways hoping to see each other again someday.

Heibei Labs[]

Meanwhile, somewhere in China in a laboratory known as Heibei Labs, scientists try to find a way to stop the monsters. The chief officer of the lab, Dr. Genichiro Shiragami is meeting up with a Chinese government official. He shows him around the lab and samples of creatures from attacks around the world. Suddenly, his assistant informs him to turn on the TV. A news report plays. The reporter says that Hong Kong is under attack by a unknown giant monster.

Hong Kong and the Aftermath[]

In Hong Kong, civilians are fleeing from a giant monster. The monster smashes through buildings, causes fires, and wreaks havoc on the city. Shortly after, the monster retreats into the ocean.

Days later, Dr. Shiragami visits Hong Kong and looks at the damage done to the city. He is then reminded of what happened years ago, when Australia was attacked by the bugs. He lost his wife Erika during the invasion. He still misses her. He knows that he is trying to find a way to stop the monsters that took away his wife.

G-Force Training[]

It is now 2024, two years since the attack of Hong Kong. Takada is being trained to fight in G-Force. One day, he takes part in a tank live fire exercise at Mount Fuji in front of a live audience. Emiko is there watching him. He and his division practice shooting cardboard cutouts of Kamacuras. He pilots one of the tanks there. He loads the tank and fires. The shot goes through the cutout dead center. The audience applauds.

Heibei Lab Research[]

For two years, Dr. Shiragami has been doing research for bio-weapons that could potentially be used in the war against the kaiju. He works late nights trying to create a bio weapon. He decides to experiment on sludge that was found in northern China. He continues to work on it, hoping to convert the sludge into a bio-weapon.

UN conference[]

At the United Nations headquarters in New York City, a conference is held discussing what they should do in order to stop the monsters. Japan's representative states that G-Force is doing well training recruits, and that the Goten-go is patrolling the Pacific for any sign of kaiju activity.

Bio-weapon Success[]

After weeks of experimenting with the sludge, Shiragami merges the sludge with sulfur and carbon particles to create a smoke-like vapor with red eyes. He decides to name it Hedorah, a Chinese word for sludge. He tests Hedorah on a swarm of locusts. It attacks the locusts, choking them to death. Shiragami is proud. He has created a living bio-weapon. He informs G-Force about this weapon and tells him it will be useful for destroying kaiju.

Mt. Paektu and the Emergence of Rodan[]

Meanwhile, at Mt. Paektu in Korea, a scientific expedition study the activity of the volcano. It is led by Dr. Kawamura, a geologist. They study the volcano for radioactivity since it has a strong presence of radiation there. Later as they begin to set up camp, they hear growling sounds from the volcano. Then, a giant pterodactyl-like monster emerges from a volcano and begins attacking the team. Kawamura identifies the monster as Rodan, a mutated subspecies of Pteranadon. He concludes that Rodan was feeding on the lava in the volcano for thousands of years later, thus allowing radiation to spread throughout the volcano. Rodan flies over the team, knocking them over. He chases after moving vehicles nearby, destroying them with his shockwave. Rodan then flies off and proceeds to attack Korea. Several towns are destroyed. Thousands of people are wounded or killed. The Korean Air Force decides to attack Rodan. They send a squadron to intercept and shoot him down. They fire at the beast, but nothing harms it. Rodan strikes back, wiping out the entire squadron. With the squadron wiped out, Rodan continues his invasion of Korea. The military attempts to fight back, but are powerless against him. Towns such as Seoul and Pyongyang are destroyed. Rodan feeds on livestock and humans during his rampage.. Korea's citizens evacuate their nation and escape to neighboring countries.

Anguirus Emerges in Siberia[]

Meanwhile, in Siberia, something strange happens. The permafrost that has been on the ground for thousands of years, is melting. This causes problems. The melting of the permafrost causes the ground to sink. Soon enough, another monster emerges from out of the sinkholes. It is Anguirus, an ancient Ankylosaurus, that was mutated from Russian nuclear tests in the 50s and 60s. He attacks small Siberian towns. Dr. Kawamura is in one of the towns, he evacuates the town and along the way comes to face-to-face with Anguirus. He eventually escapes Anguirus and returns back to Japan.

The World Wants to Strike Back[]

Three weeks later, people are protesting about the attacks. They want the United Nations to find a way to stop Rodan and Anguirus. The UN holds an emergency conference. They try to find a way to stop them. China's representative proposes that the PLA and G-Force organize an operation to exterminate Anguirus. The UN council approves the plan titled Operation: Extinction.

Operation: Extinction[]

The PLA begins the plan. They try to prevent Anguirus from attacking Beijing by creating a defensive system on the Great Wall of China. Anguirus approaches the army. They attack him. He destroys tanks and helicopters. He breaks through the defensive system and attacks Beijing. G-Force hears about the attack. The chief commander comes up with a plan to lure Rodan to Beijing in order to fight Anguirus. Fighter jets are sent to find Rodan and lure him. They lure Rodan and lead him to Beijing. As Rodan begins to invade Beijing, Anguirus notices him. He goes over to Rodan. He roars at Rodan, attracting his attention. Rodan then attacks Anguirus. They begin to fight. They tear across the city, destroying landmarks such as Tiananmen Square.

Hedorah is Unleashed[]

The PLA then decides to use Dr. Shiragami's weapon Hedorah to wipe both the monsters out. They deploy Hedorah several miles away from Beijing. Hedorah flies over the countryside. He arrives in Beijing and goes through the city until he reaches Rodan and Anguirus. He begins to attack them. After they attempt to destroy him, he destroys them; choking them to death. The PLA and Shiragami celebrate the successful use of Hedorah against the monsters. Suddenly, Hedorah goes berserk and begins to attack Beijing. The Hedorah cloud spreads across Beijing. Thousands of people are trapped and were unable to evacuate the city before Hedorah, Rodan, and Anguirus arrived. Unable to escape, they fall victim to Hedorah's sulfuric mist, choking them and killing them. The cloud flies off, leaving people dead or dying, as the sun rises. Beijing is surrounded by smoke and poison mist. Millions of displaced people leave Beijing and head for the countryside to seek refuge and safety. 8.8 million people are lost and Beijing becomes a ghost town. In the aftermath of the attack, the United Nations holds the Chinese government responsible for the attack. Unable to carry the burden on his shoulders, the Chinese prime minister resigns. At the orders of the United Nations, the Chinese government shuts down Heibei Labs, causing Dr. Shiragami to return to Japan and retire to his home at Lake Ashi. He regrets creating Hedorah, and continues to live in peace there. Meanwhile, the research on Hedorah is transferred to UN controlled research bases around the world.

Research Base Zero[]

Meanwhile, at the underwater UN Research Base Zero, samples of Hedorah arrive at the lab and scientists begin to study them. Several weeks pass, and the scientists still can't find a way to neutralize Hedorah, but just as Shiragami and the Chinese discovered, they too discover that it can be used as a weapon.

One day, as the scientists conduct an underwater test of their new weapon developed from Hedorah, a giant sea serpent appears from the depths. It circles around the base several times. Suddenly, without warning, it attacks the base, slamming into it with its body. Several bulkheads start leaking, and the base begins to fill with water. The scientists retreat toward the base's interior, sealing the bulkheads, slowing the flooding, and sends an SOS as the giant serpent circles around the base.

Rescue Plan Initiates[]

The USS Red Satan and the J.S. Goten-go receive the distress call and put together a rescue operation. They are briefed on the operation before submerging, meeting up, and setting off for the base. The submarine captains go over the mission details one last time and the crew begins to ready themselves for action. They descend and head straight for the base. Then, out of the darkness, the sea serpent emerges from the depths. One of the crew identifies the serpent as Manda, an mythical serpent from Indonesian folklore. Manda then heads straight for the subs and begins attacking the subs. The subs electrify their hulls, repelling Manda. As Manda fights them, the Goten-go moves on and sends out divers to search the flooded base. They reach the sealed off compartments with the scientists and begin the operation. As the Goten-go attempts to rescue the scientists, Manda attacks them, killing the captain. Red Satan then draws Manda's attention, luring him away from the Goten-go. Manda catches the sub, wrapping around it, squeezing it. As Manda crushs it, the hull begins to burst causing water to fill the sub. The Red Satan, not taking anymore, explodes. The crew of the Goten-go then salutes the fallen sub in honor of their sacrifice. Now under the command of Hachiro Jinguji, the Goten-go deploys to confront Manda. Manda notices the sub approaching and begins to circles around it. Suddenly, it attacks, wrapping around the Goten-go, threatening to crush it. At the last minute, Jinguji orders the crew to electrify the hull, repelling Manda. Now released from the serpent's grasp, the sub pushs forward, full speed ahead, luring Manda away from the base. With Manda following behind, the Goten-go goes into an underwater trench, nearly avoiding colliding into the trench's wall. Manda follows above them. Forced to leave the cover of the trench, Goten-go is pounded by Manda as it rams the sub. Jinguji orders the crew to launch decoys. The decoys launch, causing Manda to follow them. Now, with a chance to destroy the monster, Jinguji orders the crew to ready torpedoes. The sub turns and readies the torpedoes. Manda destroys the decoys, and turns back to the Goten-go. Jinguji then gives the command to open fire. The sub launches four torpedoes, hitting Manda, and destroying him. The crew celebrates their victory, as the monster's lifeless body sinks to the bottom of the ocean. The Goten-go then heads back to the base, rescues the scientists, and sets up charges to blow up the base. As the Goten-go leaves and heads toward thet surface, the charges are detonated, destroying the base. As the Goten-go leaves, sonar picks up an unidentified lifeform heading for the base's location. Jinguji orders to full-speed ahead and safely escapes the area.

More Attacks Over the Next Three Years[]

It is now 2027. Over the past three years, cities around the world are attacked as more monsters appear; and slowly, the nations of the world become one to face the new threat, instead of each other and several meetings take place. During those three years, the creature that attacked Hong Kong appeared twice. The first attack was in America. The second was on Hokkaido, destroying an area of Sapporo. Thousands of people are killed in both attacks. The UN holds a countermeasures meeting. They talk about trying to stop the monster that has emerged. Some nations suggest to try and study the monster, but some dismiss their idea and suggest that they kill it. As they are discussing, an alarm goes off. A person on the intercom announces that the monster is approaching Vladivostok, Russia. The city is then attacked by the monster, destroying landmarks and wiping out fighter jets, tanks, and entire armies. The monster retreats, leaving the city in ruins. Defense forces are sent out, but are powerless against the monster.

One Year Later; Peace in Tokyo[]

One year later, in 2028, Takada has been released off duty for an entire week. He meets up with Emiko. He tells her about the monster that attacked Vladivostok. He hopes that Tokyo will not be destroyed by the creature. He also hopes that G-Force will find a way to stop it. He then receives a phone call, telling him that he is invited to attend a UN G-Force conference. He tells Emiko that he will meet again soon.

United Nations G-Force Conference[]

At the conference, members of the United Nations and G-Force discuss how they are going to stop these monsters invading their world. They try to find a new weapon. A scientist stands up and tells the assembly that he has created a weapon that will destroy the monsters. He leads them to a laboratory where he shows off a prototype of a weapon called the Maser Cannon. He demonstrates the weapon to them. The project known as Project Maser is then revealed to the public, and is met with mixed thoughts on its use. Within a few days, the UN General Assembly decided to meet and vote on whether or not to approve the project.

A Night on the Town[]

Meanwhile, Takada meets up with Emiko and talk about what has transpired. They take a look at the city in all its splendor. He decides to head out for dinner with her. As they eat, they converse about how their lives are doing. Emiko tells him that she works in the office, and is expecting a raise from her boss since she is so nice to all of her co-workers. Takada hopes that she keep up the good work and promises that she will get that raise. She agrees and hopes so.

Project Maser Takes Action and the Past Emerges[]

Finally, the UN reveals that Project Maser is approved. Construction on several maser weapons begins. As the weapon is being mass-produced, a massive earthquake strikes Central China. Many towns are heavily damaged by the earthquake and hundreds of people are wounded, killed, or missing. In a remote area, a massive underground cavern opens up. Then suddenly, creatures from a forgotten distant past emerge and begin to rampage. At a nearby secret research site, workers are picked off one by one. An investigation team from the UN is sent out to investigate after reports of creatures emerge. As the team searches for survivors, a massive creature known as Gorosaurus emerges from out of the woods. They are chased by the Gorosaurus until they hide in the abandoned village until at least nightfall. That night, a chopper arrives to rescue the team. Before they leave, they set up explosives to kill the Gorosaurus. The plan fails, and only one member of the team survives.

Two days later, soldiers are sent into the area to kill the creature. The first two search teams encounter it. Soon enough, the soldiers lure the dinosaur into an abandoned factory. One of the soldiers hijacks a crane and uses it to fight the monster. He fights it, before bringing the dinosaur to the edge of a cliff. He strikes the crane at Gorosaurus, causing it to fall to its death.

Going Into the Cavern[]

Days after killing the creature, researchers are sent out to search for the cavern it emerged from. Upon finding it, they descend deep into the cavern. Inside, they take a look around. As they explore the cave, two members split from the others. Shortly thereafter, they come upon a cavern which contains thousands of eggs. As they study the eggs, they hear a cracking sound. The eggs are hatching. They hatch and bugs appear and attack the two men before flying off into the sky. Within a few days, the swarm reaches Kyushu.

The Swarm Attacks[]

The swarm of bugs known as Meganula, an ancient species of bug, begins to spread throughout Eastern Asia. Countermeasures are set up to attack the swarm, but are destroyed by them. The Japanese government meet up and try to find a way on how to deal with the insects. Soon enough, a decision is reached. They decide to use the new Maser weapon to combat the creatures, and the JSDF and G-Force prepare to fight them. Troops are sent to Kyushu to attack the swarm. The swarm descends on them and they fire at them, before some soldiers are killed off by the insects. The maser cannons are given the order to open fire. They fire at the swarm. They successfully destroy the swarm, and they celebrate.

Battle of Shanghai[]

After destroying the swarm in Kyushu, G-Force is deployed to China to combat the insects. Takada is among them ready to fight the insects off. They deploy the troops and the maser cannons to Shanghai to destroy the last large swarm. On August 1st, the battle begins. As the battle continues into the night, thousands of insects are wiped out. During the battle, Takada is attacked by two Meganula. He fights them off, destroying them with his maser gun. As dawn approaches, the swarm is finally defeated. The troops celebrate their victory. They salute their weapon and the ones who died in battle. G-Force receives a call from the Prime Minister, thanking them for their efforts.

The Monster Returns[]

As G-Force is celebrating, their victory is cut off. They find out that the monster that attacked Hong Kong and Vladivostok has emerged in Nagasaki. The monster rampages across the city. Troops fight the monster, but are wiped out. Civilians are ordered to evacuate. The fire caused by the destruction goes out of control throughout the city releasing radiation into the air. Soon enough, thousands fall ill to radiation sickness.

The Threat of Godzilla[]

After the attack on Nagasaki, the United Nations gives the monster the name "Godzilla" (named after a sea creature in Japanese folklore) and the military begins to track Godzilla as he appears several more times.

More Monsters in China[]

Meanwhile, in Central China, the military are continuing to hunt down another Gorosaurus which proves to be somewhat troublesome. They attack the beast, which kills several soldiers. While chasing the creature, they come across a secret Bio Lab. During their discovery, a number of unknown species of bats are accidentally released.

The Secret Chinese Bio-Lab[]

While investigating the lab, G-Force discovered that the lab belonged to the Chinese government and was researching and testing bio-weapons. Among the many documents and records, they find several samples of Hedorah, still active.

Rodan Strikes Back[]

Another Rodan emerges from Mt. Aso and is flying over Kyushu. The JSDF is sent out to engage the beast. Rodan attacks the squadron, destroying it. Now unable to shoot down Rodan, it begins attacking the city of Kagoshima, leveling the city with its shockwaves as it flies over high speeds. The air force attempts to shoot down Rodan, but are powerless against it.

Godzilla vs. Rodan[]

G-Force HQ then receives word that Godzilla has appeared in Kagoshima Bay and orders the fleet heading to Kagoshima to engage Godzilla. They attack Godzilla. They are unable to halt the beast and lose several ships in the process. Godzilla continues to proceed to Kagoshima where it makes landfall and begins fighting Rodan. They fight into the night, leveling parts of the city. Eventually, Rodan flees toward the volcanic peninsula of Sakurajima where the two continue to fight. As the volcano begins to awaken, Godzilla and Rodan continue to fight atop it. Then, the volcano erupts and rivers of lava engulf the peninsula. The following morning, Godzilla emerges from the lava field and returns to the ocean. There are no signs of Rodan and it is unknown whether he escaped or was killed.

The Great Monster Awakening and The War Begins[]

Before returning to the sea, however, Godzilla lets out a powerful roar, and across the planet, monsters not yet awoken begin to awake. Around the globe, G-Force mobilizes to track and combat the new threats. Godzilla is considered "The Greatest Threat Known to Mankind" by the United Nations.

Countermeasures against the Monster Threat[]

By 2029, the world is being ravaged by Godzilla and all the other monsters. In Tokyo, the UN holds a conference to debate on how to deal with the growing threat of the monsters and the growing environmental changes brought forth by the presence of the monsters.

The ASTOL-MB93[]

While the UN is holding the conference, members of G-Force weapons developmentand research team develop the ASTOL-MB93 fighter. After completion of simulations, G-Force begins conducting tests with several prototypes with Takada as lead pilot.

Reunion of Old Friends[]

During the flight trials of the ASTOL, Emiko and Takada are reunited and talk to each other for the first time in over a year.

Induction and Introduction of the ASTOL[]

The ASTOL-MB93 is inducted into G-Force service. Shortly thereafter, Takada and his squadron hold their own celebration. Afterwards, Takada receives a call from Emiko and leaves to meet up with her. They meet up at a place they used to visit during college. Shortly afterwards, they meet up with their old friends at a restaurant owned by one of them.

Takada's New Position[]

A few weeks later, Takada is placed in charge of overseeing the training of new pilots which tests his patience as he teaches them about Project Titan, which is still classified. Together with his students, Takada trains in the simulator.

Baragon Arises[]

Meanwhile, at the foot of Mt. Fuji, the military rushes to set up a defensive line and evacuate civilians. As they evacuate, a monster named Baragon rampages through the village destroying houses and eating livestock as it searches for food. The Defense Forces fire upon the monster but it isn't affected. G-Force decides to test one of their newest weapons and launchs the Markalite Cannons, stronger versions of the heat rays used to destroy the Meganula swarm in 2028. Delivered from launch sites in Gotemba, the cannons are delivered by drop capsule. Once on the ground, the dish rotates into position and begins to engage Baragon. The cannon beams are so powerful it dramatically changes the landscape. Baragon cries out in pain as the beam strikes him repeatedly, blasting pieces of flesh with each hit. Once the smoke clears, all that remains are bits and pieces of smoldering flesh and a blackened landscape. The Markalite test is a success. They celebrate.

Project Titan Continues[]

While headquarters is celebrating, the scientists and researchers' own lab test is successful as well. With the successful test, Project Titan moves into its next phase with high hopes for the future.

The Secrets of Odo Island[]

While all was going on Japan, a group of researchers led by Doctor Hayashida travel to Odo Island, following up leads left behind by an old WWII journal that mentions a beast named Gojira. After arriving on the island, they discover that one of the villages is flattened and the people are missing. As they search the surrounding forest, two Gorosaurus appear and chase the research team. They escape the Gorosaurus by hiding in a cave. As they explore the cave further they discover cave paintings of a creature that resembled Godzilla. As they looked deeper into the cave, they come across a large cavern and in it are the bones of a giant creature. They leave the cave and rush back to the village to report their findings. The team is again attacked by Gorosaurus and the soldiers that are with them open fire, trying to drive the monster off. Nearly upon the team, Gorosaurus stops, looks up, quickly turns around, and takes off, fleeing as loud footsteps are heard. Hearing the footsteps behind them, the research teams look up and they see Godzilla looking down at them. As they look at the monster, it lets out a roar that send the team fleeing. Godzilla follows, towering over them as the research teams flee toward the village. As they arrive, the villagers hear Godzilla approaching and the team and villagers flee. That night on another island in a storm, Godzilla makes landfall and destroys the local village before returning back into the ocean.

The Legend of Godzilla[]

In Gotemba, Japan, Dr. Hayashida returns to his lab and is visited by a G-Force scientist. After reporting back to G-Force, the top brass holds a meeting to discuss the research team findings on Odo Island. One of the G-Force scientists at the meeting tells them what he was told by Dr. Hayashida:

"Godzilla's like a hurricane or a tidal wave. We must approach him as we would a force of nature. We must understand him. Deal with him. Perhaps, even, try to communicate with him. In 1945, Godzilla appeared for the first time. Before that, he was only a legend. The bombing of Hiroshima in 1945 was meant to destroy Gojira; aka Godzilla. And for the record, they never found any corpse of him then."

The Odo Island Expedition and Colonel Aso[]

Within a few days of the meeting, G-Force deploys a expedition to the island to recover the bones discovered for research. After the meeting, Colonel Takaaki Also remembers back on the day Godzilla first appeared in the modern world. He was there when Godzilla attacked Hong Kong in 2022. He lost his friends when it attacked the city. He decides to exact vengeance on Godzilla for what happened seven years earlier.

Recruitment for Project Titan[]

In the state of Texas in the US, G-Force Master units led by a Lt. Nick Glenn engage a swarm of Kamacuras. After the battle Lt. Glenn is informed he has been recruited for Project Titan and is being sent to Japan.

Project Titan Recruit Training[]

In Japan, Takada and his squadron engage Rodan over the city of Sasebo in Kyushu. After several head on passes, Rodan flees vanishing in the clouds. Once back on the ground, Takada receives orders from Aso to report to Gotemba. The two being old friends catch up with each other, during which Aso informs Takada that he will be the lead pilot for Project Titan. Recruits for the project undergo physical and weaponry training.

An Evening Together[]

That night, Takada and Emiko meet up to talk. He starts to make some food, but Emiko decides to make something healthier for him. As they eat, Emiko asks Takada about Project Titan. With the project still classified, he remains in complete silence. She tells him that she hopes that whatever Project Titan is, it will help win the war against the monsters.

The Fleet Patrols the Waters[]

In the Sea of Japan, the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force is tracking Godzilla. Then, a monster named Varan is spotted. He is swimming and projected to make landfall on the western coast of Japan. They take immediate action and open fire on Varan in hopes of driving the monster away. He continues on his course, sinking one ship in the process.
