Godzilla Returns (Japanese: ゴジラの帰還, Hepburn: Gojira no kikan, lit. Return of Godzilla) is a 2029 Japanese monster film co-written, directed and edited by Kazuhiro Nakagawa. It is the 39th installment in the Godzilla franchise, the first of the Heisei Legacy Series, and a sequel to 1995's Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, marking the series' longest gap between a sequel and its predecessor, with a gap of 34 years.
