Godzilla of Dune is a 2033 American kaiju epic film directed by Gareth Edwards. Produced by Legendary Pictures, it is the seventh film of the Dune franchise and the 48th film in the Godzilla franchise. It stars Tom Holland, Jason Momoa, Vanessa Kirby, Josh Brolin, Anya Taylor-Joy, Kirsten Dunst, John Cena and Alexander Skarsgard. Much like Godzilla in the Wasteland: A Mad Max Legend, the film is not connected in any way to the MonsterVerse, despite the film using the Godzilla in the film using the design from the series. In the film, the Houses and the Fremen have to put their differences aside and team up against a monster that emerged from a nearby mountain range, which would wreck havoc across Arrakis if not stopped.
Godzilla of Dune released to theaters on June 24, 2033. It received critical acclaim, praised for its story, visual effects, action sequences, the score, and the performances (particularly of Holland, Momoa and Brolin), as well as Godzilla's portrayal in the film.
