The Heisei Legacy Series is a Japanese film series that is centered on the new, reborn Godzilla, following the events of Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. The films mostly consisted of scrapped ideas of the Heisei series, brought back with modern effects. The first installment, titled Godzilla Returns, was released on August 23, 2029, taking place 35 years after the events of Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. The rest of the series consisted of The Return of King Ghidorah, Godzilla vs. Desghidorah, Godzilla vs. Bagan, Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla: Advanced and Godzilla vs. Godzilla.
