Shockirus (ショッキラス, Shokkirasu) is a giant mutated sea louse kaiju who first appeared in the 1984 Heisei Godzilla film, The Return of Godzilla.

The Return of Godzilla[]
Shockirus, a form of giant sea louse mutated to their present state due to contact with Godzilla. The Shockirus first attacked the fishing boat the Yahata-Maru, after the vessel came dangerously close to Godzilla. The sea louse was succesful in its attack, slaughtering all ten of the crew members. A short time later, Princess Twilight and Starlight Glimmer stumble upon the Yahata-Maru, adrift at sea and board it in an attempt to locate the crew. Upon finding the deceased crew members, who were sucked dry by Shockirus, Starlight herself is attacked by the sea louse. The creature manages to pin Starlight down, moving in for the kill, until Princess Twilight buries her horn into the creature's back, killing the Shockirus.
